You’re new to the job, but what is your favorite part so far?

I enjoy working with a great group of people and I also enjoy using my experience to help safeguard the welfare of the public.  My new job allows me to work with professionals dedicated to the advancement of our profession and help the next generation of professionals start their careers.

What’s the one thing you’d like the public to know about the Board?

Our first priority is to safeguard life, health and property and to promote public welfare. We start every board meeting by reading our purpose and mission.

What led you to pursue the executive director position for the Board?

Coming to work for the Board allows me to use my knowledge and experience to advance the goals of our profession and help to protect the public.

Why did you pursue professional licensure?

Professional licensure is something that all land surveyors and engineers should pursue.  It is a pledge and a commitment that we make to the public and our profession.  It is a great honor and responsibility to hold the title of “Professional”.

What is your favorite project?

I have been fortunate to be involved with many interesting projects, some large and some small.  What I liked best about all of these projects was the collaboration and teamwork that went into every successful project.

What do you do when you’re not working?

I enjoy spending my free time with family and friends, enjoying all the activities that Las Vegas and Reno offer.  I am an outdoor enthusiast and can be found in the mountains hiking, fishing, hunting and skiing.
