Engineers Across Borders

January 2017, the Board signed a new memorandum of understanding with Engineers Canada. The memorandum renews Nevada and Canada’s commitment to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the public through licensing of qualified engineers. Nevada and Canada have mutually agreed to recognize each other’s engineers. For mutual recognition of a professional engineering license, the engineer must apply for comity licensure and be listed on the Professional Engineer International Register. The Professional Engineer International Register requires engineers to meet a standard greater than Nevada and Canada standards for initial licensure.
