Engineer Intern (EI) Certification
To be eligible to be certified by the board as an ENGINEER INTERN an applicant must first obtain one of the following:
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering from an EAC/ABET accredited program.
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ETAC/ABET accredited program, or related science curriculum.
- A master’s degree in engineering from an institution that offers EAC/ABET accredited programs.
- An earned doctoral degree in engineering from an institution that offers EAC/ABET accredited programs.
- Pass the NCEES Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.

Complete an online application – the application fee is $50.00.
Land Surveyor Intern (LSI) Certification
To be eligible to be certified by the board as a LAND SURVEYOR INTERN an applicant must first pass the NCEES Fundamentals of Surveying (FS) exam.

Complete an online application – the application fee is $50.00.
Land Surveying Interns that anticipate applying for licensure, are encouraged to start a NCEES Record as early as possible. A NCEES Record can be created for no cost and is accepted by all state licensing boards. Nevada, and many other state boards, use the NCEES Record as an application for licensure.
