How many times did you take the PE exam?

2. Regrettably, I failed it the first time – just missed the mark. I took it again and squeaked by with a pass! It’s a hard test!

What is your favorite part of the Board?

Working for my ever-changing 9 bosses!

Why is the Board important to you?

The Board regulates engineers and land surveyors to protect the public. Our responsibility to the public is very important to me.

Why did you pursue professional licensure?

Because I was told during college that it was important to get licensed. I was required to be licensed for my first job.

What is your favorite project?

Construction of SR 160/Blue Diamond Road, Las Vegas. It reconstructed an old undulating two lane road and turned it into a 4 lane roadway with new drainage structures. The project had a little bit of everything, which made it fun and challenging to oversee construction.

What’s a fun fact about you?

When I first started college, I wanted to be an architect. I hated engineering school so much so that I flunked out my freshman year second semester. But I pulled it together and graduated with good grades.
