As a result of a complaint filed with the Board in September 2009, the Board created a task force to study and report on the engineer’s role related to construction inspection and materials testing. The complaint investigation found that a Nevada licensed engineer violated Nevada’s engineering laws. The engineer failed to fulfill his obligations resulting in an uninhabitable Las Vegas hi-rise building.
