Essentials of Fire Sprinkler Systems in Buildings

Fire sprinklers are the most common water-based fire protection system installed in buildings for the protection of people and assets.  Proper design results in adequate system reliability and successful performance when a fire occurs.  This course describes some essential engineering considerations related to the design of fire sprinkler systems, including the demarcation of responsibilities among the design professional, fire protection contractor, fire department and code enforcement official.
